Peanut butter and jelly cake with pomegranate syrup
Treats for the Kate Sylvester press day
I baked, cooled, iced and decorated these 11 cakes in 3 hours, which I think must be a Caker record!
Me at the Greylynn Made and Found markets on Saturday. I will be serving cakes here again on the 6th June.

  1. Oh gutted I missed out. The 6th of June is a Wednesday, is this correct? I don't want to miss out again!

  2. Wow, 11 cakes in 3 hours. That IS impressive. The peanut butter and jelly cake looks delicious.
2 questions (sorry they're kind of random):

    A) Do you and your sister have naturally brown or blonde hair? You both suit brown and blonde really well (:

    B) Do you watch or have you ever seen NZ's hottest home baker? If you have, what do you think of it

Thanks. Love your blog by the way.

  3. @Anonymous Oh it mustn't be the 6th then, it will be either the 2nd or 9th, I will find out and post it!

@Ruby Jane, Thanks! Happy to answer your questions...
My sister and I are both naturally blonde, I've been blonde my entire life but just a few weeks ago I decided to make a change and went brunette. I like it so far but will be blonde again one day!
Yeah I watched that show on demand the other day. I think it's pretty funny, ridiculous but funny. It's not at all my style of baking so I don't really learn anything from it, but it's still entertaining to watch.

  4. Thanks for your reply.
Oh cool. I have naturally light light blonde hair and I tried to temporarily dye it brown once in intermediate with cheap hair dye but my hair couldn't take it so it went red then pink for a week then back to blonde haha.

I've seen some of the show and I remember seeing some episodes of the first season. There was only one guy on it and he was gay and Colin kept flirting with him I'm pretty sure, it was pretty funny.
