Valentine's Day Special - Red Velvet Cake

There's something very special about this dramatic looking American classic; the multi layer red-chocolate cake with a white chocolate cream cheese icing. It is really just a Devil's Food Cake (so called because it's so rich and delicious that it must be sinful) with red food coloring added to it. The cake has a mild chocolate flavor due to the addition of cocoa powder with a moist and tender crumb that'll make you want to eat the entire thing. Perfect for a Valentine's treat don't you think?

  1. Given the date of this post, and the fact my work got me Red Velvet Cupcakes from you for my birthday (at my request as I was missing New York after a trip there earlier that month)... I suspect those cupcakes might be my special b'day cupcakes. A belated thank you for taking me back to New York for afternoon tea :)
